HOW IT WORKS
Life is short, very short! When you're young time drags, as you get older it speeds up dramatically. Suddenly you're thirty, forty, fifty. You watch your parents reaching their seventies or eighties, they're more forgetful, slower, and the realisation that one day you'll wake up and they will be gone becomes a reality.
Unless you've made a real effort to capture them on video, you'll never see them move, talk, laugh or smile again. So many people miss the opportunity to capture their parents or grandparents recounting their lives and sharing precious memories. Don't make that mistake, it's a moment, and when it's gone, it's gone forever. Let us capture those memories for you, to one day share with grand children and great grand children and generations to come.
Alternatives to a standard legacy video could include some more creative ideas. If cooking is your grandmothers passion and she has a really good recipe you think should be passed on for generations, why not get us to film her cooking it and explaining the process, this could be passed on for generations, keeping the recipe accurate and being cooked by the original family member
Maybe your father or grandfather loves working on old cars. Filming him in his garage or shop while tinkering on his prized vintage car will be a timeless memory for grandchildren, watching him grind some steel, change a tire, change the oil or polish his baby while telling you about it, will be a cherished memory
Remember when you were young and granny used to read or tell you a story? Why not preserve that memory to pass on to your children's children. Have granny sit in a comfortable chair and read her favourite story
Pets come into our lives and always leave a lasting memory. We've had four dogs over our twenty plus years of marriage, all of whom have passed on and we dearly miss them. If you have special pet that is aging and you'd like to capture them while they're still active, why not get us to film you interacting with them, taking them for a walk, playing catch or eating treats, resting in their favourite basket.
Here's how it works:
Step 1: Free Consultation – Discuss your vision & family history
Before filming we'll have an introductory meeting to get to know each other and answer any questions you may have, as well as offer tips on how to prepare. This also makes the day of filming easier as we have now met. We'll also collect any photos you'd like scanned or videos you'd like to include in the final edit
Step 2: Filming & Interviews – Professional video shoot at your chosen location
We'll arrive at the location of your choice, usually your home, about two hours before filming begins. This gives us time to find the best location in your house and set up lighting and audio to ensure a polished production
Step 3: Editing & Production – We bring your story to life with cinematic editing
This is where our hard work begins, carefully editing your footage to present your story in a well thought out composition. We'll scan all the photos you supplied and digitise any videos or 8mm film you supplied for inclusion
Step 4: Delivery & Sharing – Receive your video digitally and on a keepsake USB
Four to six weeks after the shoot, depending on the complexity and length of time we filmed for, your edit should be complete for us to present. We will supply you with a private link to your video on YouTube which is only accessible to people you share the link with, as well as high definition video saved to a USB thumb drive
